Hey Emma! Thank you for being here today, it’s so great to have you. How about you give us a little introduction?
Hi! Thanks for having me! My name is Emma Campbell and I am answering some questions today for Fangirls: World Tour.
Awesome, let’s get right into it! So, who are some of your musical inspirations and why?
Well, my first favorite artist was definitely Ed Sheeran. He definitely inspired my singer/songwriter acoustic style of songwriting. And then right now, some of my biggest inspirations are a band called LAUNDRY DAY, and an artist called Dijon. They really push me to challenge the boundaries of my writing.
That’s so nice. So insightful. So, when did you start writing music? What made you start writing music?
I started writing music three or four years ago really consistently, but I’ve always been involved in music. I grew up in a very musical household. My mom is a songwriter, so I definitely take after her. She taught me a lot of what I know, so that was a big reason why I started making music and song writing.
I love the family connection! So, who are some of your dream artists to collaborate with one day?
I’ve always wanted to collaborate with LAUNDRY DAY. They are definitely my favorite band. There’s also an artist from Toronto named Scott Helman. He is an artist that I’ve always thought that it would be really fun to collaborate with, maybe tour with one day, or something like that!
That actually leads into my next question. If you could go on tour with any artist, who would it be?
I think I’ve already sort of accidentally answered this question, but one of my biggest goals is to do some sort of tour with Scott Helman. Touring with LAUNDRY DAY would also be a very cool moment for me! That was the same answer, kind of, but I just love them so much.
OK so, as you know, this publication is called Fangirls: World Tour… but do YOU have any experience being a fangirl?
I do! I have a lot of experience being a fangirl. I’ve gone to a lot of concerts in my life. My first concert was an Ed Sheeran concert, and I’ve seen him three times. I’ve also traveled to New York City to see LAUNDRY DAY twice, and I will be traveling to see them again for their upcoming tour. I’ve also just seen a lot of other artists and I have been a huge fan of multiple artists for a very long time! It’s a big part of who I am, I guess!
That’s every fangirl’s dream, getting to travel for their favorite artist! So, my next question is: how has your experience posting your music on TikTok been for you?
Crazy! It has been crazy posting on TikTok. I started to post on there just because I watched a lot of songwriters that I loved doing it. I saw that they were having this awesome success, but I never really thought it would happen for me! I have had a few videos do really well and it’s been really helpful for building a platform. It has also been incredible for meeting other songwriters! I’ve been collaborating with some people that I met there, and it’s been really cool.

Thanks so much Emma, this has been such a great interview! Do you have anything that you want to promote?
I just released a single called “Wrong from Right”, and it’s available on all streaming platforms!
Also, it’s not currently out yet, but I am working on a project that will be early this year! There will definitely be some things coming up very soon, so keep an eye out on all my social media platforms!
Awesome! So, now we’re just going to play a little game! Basically, I have some songs by your favorite artists and I’m hoping that you can tell me: “this or that” but song edition.
OK!
LAUNDRY DAY: Connect Five or Worry Bout Yourself?
Worry Bout Yourself
Ed Sheeran: A Team or Give Me Love?

Dijon: Many Times or The Dress
The Dress
Marianas Trench: Celebrity Status or Desperate Measures

Scott Helman: Ripple Effect or Machine

Emma, one final question! Emma Campbell: Understand or Freezing
I love them both, but I’d have to choose Understand! That was my favorite!
Amazing, thank you so much! Thank you for talking to us today!
Thank you for having me
